Accident at drive-through critically injures woman

A 69-year-old Henderson woman was critically injured at a Krispy Kreme drive-through Thursday morning, Las Vegas police said.

Police said Andrea Zimmer was at the doughnut shop's drive-through window when, for unknown reasons, she opened the driver's side door and the car began moving.

Zimmer fell out of the door and became trapped between the car door and the door frame, police said. The car then came to a stop.

Police said the accident occurred about 9:50 a.m. at the shop at 9791 S. Eastern Ave., near the Las Vegas Beltway.

Zimmer was taken to St. Rose Dominican Hospital, Siena campus, with life-threatening injuries.
