Air quality advisory issued for Las Vegas

An air quality advisory has been issued for the Las Vegas Valley until Monday evening because of blowing dust from high winds.

The Clark County Department of Air Quality and Environmental Management advises residents and companies doing construction work of the possibility of blowing dust.

As of Monday morning, unhealthy levels of dust are not occurring, the department stated.

Airborne dust aggravates respiratory diseases. Children, the elderly and people with respiratory diseases are urged to stay indoors.
