Anti-nuclear activists protest at Nevada National Security Site

A small contingent of anti-nuclear demonstrators from the faith-based Nevada Desert Experience marked the 66th anniversary of the atomic bombing of Nagasaki, Japan, with a protest at the entrance to the Nevada National Security Site on Tuesday.

Two of the five peace activists were cited for trespassing and released by Nye County sheriffs deputies at the road that leads to the site's Mercury entrance, 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas, said site spokesman Darwin Morgan.

Full-scale nuclear weapons tests were put on hold indefinitely at the former Nevada Test Site in 1992.
