Apple iPhone: White noise
I know several people who are holding off buying an iPhone 4 until the white version is available. Well ... someone in China got his hands on one that was allegedly smuggled out of the factory in a box intended to hold a black iPhone 4.

I'm sure fashionistas have reasons for wanting the white iPhone, but I'm wondering why a white case couldn't do the trick. Color is the last thing on my list of must-have smart-phone features. I first want the thing to work, which the iPhone 4 does. Next I want it to work better than the phone it replaced, which it also does.
I guess white is the new black, for iPhones, anyway.

Verizon iPhone coming soon?
From the dé·jà vu all over again department come rampant rumors of a Verizon Wireless iPhone. Word that Apple has bought chips that would work on CDMA (code division multiple access) mobile devices (the technology used by Verizon) have stoked the latest speculation.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Show me the release date. Or a prototype. Or leave one in a bar somewhere. (Are you listening Gizmodo?)
