Are enough people willing to pay for a newspaper online?
Now here's a guy who sees the glass as half full.
Writing in Columbia Journalism Review Ryan Chittum makes note of a recent poll that found 77 percent of people saying they would not pay for a newspaper online. Chittum assumes that means 23 percent might.
Using a little negative projection in circulation numbers, he calculates that only about 19 percent now purchase a printed newspaper on any given day. So 23 percent would be an improvement, right?
