KINGMAN, Ariz. -- One man was killed, and at least two people were injured, in five separate crashes late Monday morning in northwest Arizona.
Department of Public Safety Officer Bob Bailey said weather that quickly dumped an inch of hail in Golden Valley played a role in the wrecks, which occurred within 32 minutes along a
2.3-mile stretch of state Route 68.
Bailey said a westbound 1991 Chevrolet came to a stop on the shoulder of the highway and was struck by a 2001 Dodge pickup, also headed west. He said the driver of the Chevrolet was killed when the pickup struck the driver's side door.
The name of the deceased was not released.
