Arizona man dies in dune buggy accident

A Bullhead City, Ariz., man was killed in a dune buggy accident in the nearby community of Fort Mohave on Saturday.

The Mohave County Sheriff's Office identified the victim as 80-year-old Earl R. Houck.

Sheriff's spokeswoman Trish Carter said deputies responded at 3:30 p.m. to the accident scene on El Rodeo Road, east of Emerald River Drive. She said Houck was traveling in a wash parallel to El Rodeo when he made a sharp left turn and rolled the dune buggy across and onto the top of the paved roadway.

Houck was transported to Valley View Medical Center where he was declared dead.
