Arizona man killed while working on car

KINGMAN, Ariz. — Lake Havasu City police said a local man who enjoyed working on cars was killed Wednesday when one of his vehicles slipped off a jack and crushed him.

Police Sgt. Troy Stirling said investigators believe the accident happened an hour or more before a neighbor discovered the victim about 6:30 p.m.

Stirling said the 64-year-old man was working underneath the vehicle when the 1959 Chevrolet Corvette ended up on top of him in his own driveway on Dogwood Drive. The name of the man who was dead at the scene of the accident was withheld pending notification of kin.
