Authorities identify two killed in accident

A man and woman in their 80s who died after their car slammed into a wall on Monday have been identified by the Clark County coroner's office.

Maurice Goldberg, 80, died from cardiovascular disease and blunt-force chest trauma. Margo Carra, 87, died from blunt-force torso and extremity trauma. Both deaths were ruled accidents.

Las Vegas police said the car drifted off the southbound lanes of Mountain Vista Street and into a block wall on the south side of Vegas Valley Drive about 2:30 p.m.

Goldberg and Carra were pronounced dead at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center. Goldberg, who police had suspected suffered a medical episode, was the driver of the car.
