Big crowds as early voting kicks off
Turnout is high in Clark County on the first day of early voting, officials said today.
As of noon, more than 8,200 people had voted, county Registrar of Voters Larry Lomax said. That’s 1 percent of the electorate and puts the county on pace to easily break 2004’s record of 14,000 voters on the first day.
When early voting sites opened this morning, “there were a lot of eager people standing in line,” Lomax said. “It’s been busy everywhere.”
Early voting hours and locations can be found at the Clark County Election Department’s Web site, www.accessclarkcounty.com/depts/election.
