Body of man, 71, found by firefighters

Las Vegas police determined a 71-year-old man found dead in his backyard Tuesday afternoon died accidentally.

The man had burns on his body. His name was not released.

Officers were called to the home on the 400 block of Calimesa Street, near Craig Road and Lamb Boulevard, by firefighters who were responding to a fire at the address, police said.

Firefighters had discovered the man's body in the neighborhood of older single-story homes. Police were called to investigate the death.
