Buffalo closures change

Flood control improvements around the intersection of Buffalo Road and Patrick Lane will wrap up on one side Sunday night and get under way in two other nearby areas.

After being closed for about two months, Buffalo between Patrick and Russell Road will reopen to traffic before 9 p.m. Sunday, a Clark County spokesman said.

Around the same time Sunday, Patrick between Buffalo and Miller Lane will be closed for about a week while construction crews relocate a water line and install a small storm drain system .

Buffalo between Patrick and Post Road also will close about 9 p.m. Sunday while workers install a storm drain system . The closure will last approximately six weeks.

The construction is part of a $6.9 million flood control project. Work in the area is expected to be finished by late summer.
