Campaign expands free ticket distribution for Obama rally

President Barack Obama's campaign on Monday expanded its free ticket distribution for his Wednesday campaign rally in Las Vegas at Cashman Center, which seats up to 10,000 people.

Tickets were being given out on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 9 a.m. Monday at the Cashman Center ticket office and on the University of Nevada, Las Vegas campus outside the Lied Library and Student Union.

Four Obama campaign offices also were distributing tickets starting at 10:30 a.m. each day. The Las Vegas locations include:

-- 6030 W Windmill, #D.

-- 3440 W Cheyenne Ave, Suite 300.

-- And 5061 N. Rainbow, Suite #150

In Henderson, the Obama campaign office distributing tickets is at 1720 Horizon Ridge, #120.

Obama's grassroots rally will happen one day after GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney speaks to the National Guard convention in Reno on Tuesday.

Nevada is one of nine battlegrounds states that will decide the Nov. 6 presidential election with most polls showing the race too close to call in those states.

A Republican operative in the state suggested Obama might have a tough time filling the seats.

"Democrats are struggling to sell Obama, folks are disillusioned by the President," said Darren Littell of the "Team Nevada" GOP offices. "Mix that with an unenthusiastic base, and this is what you get."
