Candidate for Kingman city council dies at 25

KINGMAN, Ariz. -- Brett Hale, who was seeking to become the youngest city council member in Kingman history, has died at the age of 25.

Kingman police said officers were summoned to Hale's home in the 3700 block of Kenneth Road at about 9:15 p.m. Thursday. Police Sgt. Bob Fisk said Hale was dead at the scene of apparent natural causes.

Hale was running for council in the spring election cycle. He had recently been hospitalized for treatment in his ongoing battle with Crohn's disease.
