Caseworker Crystal WIlliams

Crystal Williams, 59,  has worked in human services for 35 years and the last three as a case manager of chronically homeless people for HELP of Southern Nevada. Most of the 25 people on her caseload are dealing with long-standing addictions and mental health problems.
She’s used to meeting people at rock bottom. There is no average day.
“I never start the day saying, ‘It’s going to be a great day!’” she says. “I say, ‘It’s going to be an exciting day.’”
