Celebrity sightings

Among the celebrities spotted in attendance: Jay Z (without Beyonce), Sean "P-Diddy/Puff Daddy" Combs (seated with Russell Brand), Mariah Carey, Mark Wahlberg, Christian Bale and Jack Nicholson just to name a few. Also, fighters Floyd Mayweather, Shane Moseley, Bernard Hopkins, Antonio Tarver, Chad Dawson and Oscar de la Hoya. De la Hoya was booed relentlessly when he was put on the big screen. Minutes later, the camera panned to a man wearing a Ricky Hatton mask. He was cheered for a moment by half the crowd until he removed the mask and revealed himself to be De la Hoya. He was then booed even louder.

Interestingly, the mention of Tom Jones was completely unintentional, but he did appear in the ring to sing "God Save the Queen." Unfortunately, Carlton Banks was not in attendance. Another 90's sitcom star is here, though. Mario Lopez has been around all week. As he walked through the MGM Grand today, shouts of "Slater" followed him everywhere he went. It could not have me any happier.
