Child assault trial set for Oct. 27

The man accused of videotaping himself while sexually assaulting a child is scheduled to go to trial on Oct. 27.

Chester Stiles, 38, faces more than 20 counts of sexual assault of a victim under 14 and lewdness with a minor.

Stiles was the focus of a nationwide manhunt after a videotape surfaced that allegedly shows him sexually assaulting a 3-year-old girl.

The girl was found safe and living in Las Vegas. An attorney for the girl's family previously said she has no memory of the alleged incident.
