Child injured by moped in Las Vegas hit and run

A 4-year-old child was transported to University Medical Center after being hit by a moped in Las Vegas Tuesday afternoon, according to Las Vegas police.

Metro responded to the scene near Charleston Boulevard and Pecos Road about 3:15 p.m. and found a child suffering from injuries after being hit by a moped, according to Metro officer Jesse Roybal.

Police are calling it a hit and run, and the child was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
