Clark County coroner identifies couple in Henderson murder-suicide

The husband and wife who died in what Henderson police said was a murder-suicide Saturday morning have been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.

Police responded to the 600 block of Karen Way, near Van Wagenen Street and South Major Avenue, about 11 a.m. Saturday.

Upon arrival, the daughter of 45-year-old Wade Adams told police she discovered him dead in his home.

Henderson police and firefighters went into the house and found the bodies of Adams and his wife, 39-year-old Wendy Marie Whitmore.

The Clark County coroner said Whitmore died from a gunshot wound to the chest. Her death was ruled a homicide.

Whitmore’s death is the first homicide in Henderson this year, police said.

Adams died from a drug overdose.
