Clark County coroner identifies pedestrian killed on Spring Mountain Road

The woman who was struck by a minivan and died Wednesday morning has been identified.

Sherri Bartold, 45, was crossing Spring Mountain Road near Decatur Boulevard outside of a marked crosswalk just before 6 a.m., police said, when she was hit by a 2007 Toyota Sienna minivan, which was traveling east on Spring Mountain Road.

Bartold was with another pedestrian, but she was the only one hit, police said.

She was taken to University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. The Clark County coroner’s office ruled her death an accident and said her cause of death was multiple blunt-force trauma.

The driver of the minivan was not suspected of driving under the influence. This was the 23rd fatal traffic accident in Las Vegas police jurisdiction this year.
