Concert stops postponed

AC/DC is postponing six dates on its Black Ice World Tour, including a stop at the MGM Grand Garden on Oct. 3.

According to a release from promoter Live Nation, lead singer Brian Johnson was told by his doctor to rest following a recent undisclosed medical procedure.

Further information about a new date is expected to be released by the middle of next week, and Live Nation recommended fans hold on to their tickets pending new information.

The tour is scheduled to resume in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 16.

The Black Ice World Tour began in October 2008 and crossed the United States and Europe twice. It is scheduled for Latin America in November and then Australia and New Zealand in early 2010.

Illness also is being cited for the postponement of the Crosby, Stills and Nash concert tonight at the M Resort. Further details about the ill band member were not available.

Tickets will be honored for the new date, according to hotel officials. Ticketmaster will notify ticket holders of that date. Refunds also will be available, and ticket holders should go to the point of purchase for their refunds.
