Conservative group plans Tax Day Tea Party protest
The conservative Nevada Action Coalition is organizing a Tax Day Tea Party to be held Wednesday at the main post office, 1001 E. Sunset Road.
Organizers are inviting Las Vegans to attend the event from 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. "to protest out-of-control government spending, unconstitutional regulation and legislation, and irresponsible representation by some members of Congress."

A similar event is being organized by local resident Sherrie Pavlovic. It's scheduled to be held Monday 9 a.m. to noon at 300 Las Vegas Boulevard North.
"I am just a concerned citizen that is tired of sitting on my couch every night, watching the news and getting more and more upset with the people on Wall Street and Pennsylvania Avenue," Pavlovic said in an e-mail Friday.
Pavlovic emphasizes that the event is not connected to any political party.
