Cops identify Las Vegas woman killed in two car collision

The woman who was killed in a car accident in the western part of the valley Tuesday night has been identified.

Cho Cha McGuffin, 75, died from multiple blunt forced injuries of the head and torso after the car she was in was struck by a Dodge Durango on Hualapai Way and Alta Drive, according to the Clark County coroner.

Police responded to the scene about 4:30 p.m.

According to police, Hilaria Torrez, 50, was driving south on Hualapai in a Dodge Durango and entered the Alta intersection. A Hyundai Elantra driven by 77-year-old Glen McGuffin turned west on Alta from Hualapai when Torrez struck the passenger side of the Elantra.

Cho Cha McGuffin was transported to University Medical Center with head injuries. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Torrez suffered minor injuries in the crash and Glen McGuffin suffered moderate injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
