The Las Vegas man who drowned at Lake Mohave on Saturday was Jose Misael Aguilar Duran, according to the Clark County coroner's office.

The National Park Service said the El Salvadoran national began to struggle while trying to swim across Morning Star Cove about 12:30 p.m.

Bystanders were unable to reach him before he slipped below the surface of the water on the Nevada side of the lake.

Divers recovered the victim's body 39 feet below the surface at 6:32 p.m. Saturday.
