CORRECTIONS

A spokesman for the federal Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services was misquoted in a story Wednesday about the Lake Tahoe Surgery Center. Jack Cheevers said the highest penalty that could be imposed on an ambulatory surgery center is to stop its federal funding.

A story Friday about a road rage shooting incorrectly identified the father of Thomas Woodward. His name is Buzz Blake. Also, Blake said his son made a gesture at the driver who cut him off but didn't in turn cut the driver off.

An April 10 story about a shooting at the Seven Seas Restaurant & Lounge on Lake Mead Boulevard near Martin Luther King Boulevard incorrectly stated the city the bar is in. It is in Las Vegas.

US will suspend immigrant visa processing from 75 countries over public assistance concerns

The State Department said Wednesday it will suspend the processing of immigrant visas for citizens of 75 countries, including Afghanistan, Iran, Russia and Somalia, whose nationals the Trump administration has deemed likely to require public assistance while living in the United States.
