An article in Saturday’s Las Vegas Review-Journal incorrectly described a state legislator’s comments about legislation vetoed by Gov. Brian Sandoval. Sen. Kelvin Atkinson, D-North Las Vegas, had said the measure to give the Public Utilities Commission authority over rural electric cooperatives was in response to contracts negotiated by Valley Electric Association with Creech Air Force Base.
