County aquatic season gets under way this weekend
Clark County Parks and Recreation's 2012 summer aquatic season begins Memorial Day weekend at many county pools and will continue until Labor Day weekend. Clark County offers various opportunities for families and individuals to get out of the heat, learn to swim and get wet throughout the summer .
The department offers American Red Cross learn-to-swim classes, recreational swim team, synchronized swimming, and junior lifeguard classes for youth and teens. Adults also can participate in private swim lessons and a variety of water exercise classes, such as water aerobics and water boot camp.
Admission fees for open swim at all pools range from $1-$3 per person and season passes are available in lieu of a daily admission. Fees for classes start at $26 per session.
Pool hours and days of operation vary by location.
