County official gets promotion

Clark County Administrative Services Director Jeffrey Wells was promoted Tuesday to assistant county manager, replacing Elizabeth Quillen, who left in October to join the Henderson city attorney's office.

Wells served as the county's administrative services director since May. Before being hired at the county, Wells worked at the Colorado Department of Personnel and served as a state legislator.

Sabra Smith-Newby, who was Wells' assistant, was promoted to the post of administrative services director.
