The Clark County coroner's office has identified a man and woman involved in a double shooting Saturday.
Phil Testa, 74, died from a gunshot wound to the head. His death was ruled a suicide. Angelina Testa, 79, died from multiple gunshot wounds to the head. Her death was ruled a homicide.
Las Vegas police said the man called police at 7:34 p.m. Saturday saying he had shot his wife and that he was going to shoot himself. When officers arrived in the 3800 block of Maryland Parkway, the man told police he wouldn't come out of his home and would shoot any officer who tried to arrest him.
SWAT officers surrounded the home while negotiators tried to coax the man to surrender, according to police. SWAT officers then entered the home after hearing a single gunshot. They found a woman dead and a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
He was taken to University Medical Center and died Sunday morning, according to police.
