Couple killed in collision on Interstate 40 identified

KINGMAN, Ariz.-- The Department of Public Safety has identified the Mormon Lake, Ariz., couple killed Friday in a collision on Interstate 40.

Driver Linda Lou Franz, 57, and her husband Clark Franz, 63, died at the scene of the 9:04 a.m. collision about 33 miles east of Kingman.

Officials said the couple, traveling west in an sport utility vehicle, may have struck a patch of ice before clipping the side of a semitrailer. The SUV then slid into the median and struck a rock wall before rolling several times.

Police are seeking the semitrailer driver who left the scene.
