David Barton Gym opens in Tivoloi

David Barton Gym, known for its unique blend of grit and glamour, opened March 15 in Tivoli Village, 410 S. Rampart Blvd. The new 35,000-square-foot outpost epitomizes the local lifestyle and will mark the brand's seventh gym opening to date, since the first New York City gym opened in 1992.

Founded on David Barton's premise to introduce the anti-establishment, anti-chain gym known as much for its top-of-the-line training as it is for its celebrity following, David Barton Gym Las Vegas is an alternative to the local gym scene.

The gym will house state-of-the-art equipment; four studios specifically designed for yoga, Pilates, group exercise and cycling; international deejays; endless amenities; and a team of expertly trained staff, hand-picked by Barton. In addition to David Barton Gym's assets, group exercise offerings will include Fear and Loathing, dedicated to the Vegas lifestyle, and gym signatures Pain and Pleasure, Junk, Barton Biking and Muscle Playground, all taught by the gym's own private trainers.

"The Las Vegas gym is reminiscent of my first gym in New York - when I saw what all other gyms were doing and just knew I wanted to do the exact opposite," said David Barton. "This gym will give the local Las Vegas audience an environment that's the alternative to the mainstream health club that they've become accustomed to."
