Dealer robbed by OJ seeks civil damages

A memorabilia dealer who had several heart attacks after being robbed at gunpoint by O.J. Simpson is suing the former football star and five men who were with him, seeking unspecified civil damages.

A lawyer for Bruce Fromong said Monday he believes he can prove Fromong suffered "great bodily injury" and emotional distress because of the September 2007 confrontation in a Las Vegas casino hotel room.

Simpson's lawyer, Yale Galanter, calls the lawsuit frivolous and says he'll fight it "tooth and nail."

The lawsuit filed Friday in Las Vegas names Simpson, convicted co-defendant Clarence "C.J." Stewart and four others as defendants, including Thomas Riccio — the go-between who arranged the meeting.

Riccio did not immediately respond to a message seeking comment.
