Dedication ceremony Friday for Colorado River project in Laughlin
Federal, state and local officials are preparing to dedicate the multimillion-dollar Colorado River Heritage Greenway Park and Trails project in Laughlin.
A ceremony is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, in time to get an early start on the last weekend of the month.
The dedication will take place at the Blue Gateway Bridge on the southwest corner of State Route 163 and Casino Drive in Laughlin.
The project is also known as the North Reach. It consists of nine miles of trails for bicyclists, pedestrians and equestrian riders.
It includes expansion of the Laughlin Riverwalk, adds restrooms and trailheads and increases picnic sites, shade shelters, fishing piers, and a pedestrian bridge overpass and underpass providing highway access to the Colorado River.
