Dice game leads to shooting, LV police say

A man was shot and critically wounded Friday night at Washington Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard, police said.

Las Vegas police homicide Lt. Lew Roberts said the man was playing in a dice game on the 1100 block of Morgan Avenue about 7 p.m. when another man got angry and shot him.

The suspect had not been arrested by late Friday, Roberts said.

The victim was taken to University Medical Center, where Roberts said the man would die. "For all intents and purposes, he is deceased," Roberts said.
