Drive-by shooting leaves one dead

Three people were shot and one of them died in what police described as a gang-related, drive-by shooting Saturday night near Decatur Boulevard and Twain Avenue.

Las Vegas police did not release the names or ages of the gunshot victims. They were all male.

Police arrived at 10:10 p.m. at the 3600 block of Kolendo Court, responding to a report of multiple shots being fired.

Two of the victims were taken to University Medical Center, where one was pronounced dead.

A third was taken to Spring Valley Hospital and was treated and released.

Police said the victims were gathered close to a car on Kolendo Court when a black Honda Accord made a U-turn and headed toward them.

Police said one of the passengers in the vehicles began yelling gang slang, at which point several passengers fired multiple shots.

Police said the Honda Accord has tinted windows and a white bumper.

Anyone with any information regarding the shooting is asked to call the homicide section at 828-3521 or Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.
