Driver arrested in crash that jammed I-15 at Cheyenne

Motorists using the Cheyenne Avenue Interstate 15 overpass experienced delays Friday morning following a multi-vehicle crash.

Nevada Highway Patrol trooper Jeremie Elliott said four or five cars were involved in a crash about 8:15 a.m.

A hit-and-run was involved in the accident. The driver was arrested after a foot pursuit, Elliot said. North Las Vegas police officers assisted.

Three westbound Cheyenne Avenue lanes remained closed at 9:15 a.m., but at least one lane was open so drivers were able to get around the wreck.

There were no serious injuries in the crash, but Elliott said the Highway Patrol was investigating it as a felony accident.
