Southbound Interstate 15 was shut down near Russell Road shortly after 6 a.m. today because of a fatal accident involving a pedestrian, Nevada Highway Patrol officials confirmed.
An unidentified woman was killed while trying to cross the freeway when she was struck by a truck, officials said.
The lanes were opened around 9 a.m.
