Father accused of chaining daughter

A Las Vegas father remains jailed after his arrest on charges that he physically abused his teenage daughter because he thought she was overweight.

Clark County jail records showed that 53-year-old Robert Blue is due today in a Las Vegas court on charges of felony child abuse and endangerment and false imprisonment with a deadly weapon.

Authorities said that Blue was arrested Wednesday after he was accused of beating his 15-year-old daughter and chaining her to a bed.

An arrest report alleged that the girl's parents put locks on their refrigerator and pantry doors. The report said that Blue chained the girl for two days because he thought she had been sneaking food into her room.
