Fire damages 7 business units

An early morning fire at a row of businesses near Rancho Drive and Washington Avenue caused fire, smoke and water damage to at least seven units today, Las Vegas Fire Department officials say.

Fire investigators continue to gather clues as to what started the blaze around 2 a.m.

Crew battled flames for about an hour and fire officials say some of the units in the strip mall were damaged considerably. No damage estimate was released, but there were no reported injuries related to the blaze.
