Fire department, police investigating fire

An early morning apartment fire near UNLV on Thursday might have been related to a domestic dispute, according to fire officials.

The Clark County Fire Department responded to a fire at the Rochelle Manor Apartments around 2:30 a.m. and firefighters found a moderate fire with additional property vandalism. The occupant of the apartment called police regarding a domestic situation and returned home to find the apartment on fire.

The fire was knocked down at 2:46 a.m. Las Vegas Metropolitan police were also on the scene.

CCFD and Metro are still investigating.
