Football standout Chaisson sentenced in attack on ex-girlfriend

Former Bishop Gorman High School football player Justin Chaisson, 18, pleaded no contest this morning to four gross misdemeanors in connection with a March attack on his ex-girlfriend.

District Judge Stefany Miley accepted the terms of his plea agreement and sentenced him to a maximum of three years' probation.

He also must complete 120 hours of community service while on probation.

Chaisson, who has been awarded a full scholarship to football powerhouse Oklahoma University, declined to make a statement to the judge or to comment after the hearing.
