"AMERICAN PIE FOURTH OF JULY" featuring live music and fireworks displays on the Viva Vision canopy today through Sunday at Fremont Street Experience, downtown between Main Street and Las Vegas Boulevard. Live music begins at 6 p.m. today and 8 p.m. Sunday. The Grass Roots perform today. California Dreamin' performs today, and Class of '69 performs today and Sunday. The Viva Vision canopy schedule will feature the shows "Sign of Life," "Don McLean's American Pie," "KISS Over Vegas," "George Thorogood's Bad to the Bone," and "Tribute to Queen" beginning at 8:30 p.m. today through Sunday. Each show will be followed by the Viva Vision Virtual Fireworks Show (800-249-3559).
"ROCK THE BLOCK" featuring live music by Hoobastank, Hed Pe, Living Things, Otherwise at 7 p.m. today at Fremont East Entertainment District, East Fremont Street and Las Vegas Boulevard, $15 in advance and $20 day of at the door (800-745-3000).
STAR SPANGLED SPECTACULAR featuring the Las Vegas Philharmonic and a laser-light show finale, doors open at 6 p.m. today at Springs Preserve, 333 S. Valley View Blvd., $17.50-$27.50, VIP Packages are $82.50 per person and include a pre-concert VIP reception in the ORIGEN Rotunda and an exclusive tabled seating area in the amphitheater (822-7705).
FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION featuring live entertainment by Henderson Symphony Orchestra, Randy Anderson, children's activities, fireworks and more at 6 p.m. today at Henderson Events Plaza, 200 S. Water St., free. Shuttle service will be provided at Morell Park, 500 Harris St., beginning at 5 p.m. Fireworks will be at 9 p.m. (267-2171).
ROCKETS OVER THE RIVER featuring a fireworks display after dark today with public viewing along the Laughlin River Walk in Laughlin, free (702-298-2214).
FOURTH OF JULY BEER BASH featuring live entertainment, 20 brewers and 50 beers today through Sunday on the Brooklyn Bridge at New York-New York, 3790 Las Vegas Blvd. South. The Brooklyn Bridge opens at noon today and Sunday. Scheduled to perform are: DJ Chris Landry, 5 p.m. today through Sunday; the Boogie Nights, 7:30 p.m. today; and Phoenix, 7:30 p.m. Sunday. FIRECRACKIN' FOURTH OF JULY SPECTACULAR featuring live outdoor entertainment beginning at 3 p.m. today with fireworks at 9:15 p.m. at the Pahrump Nugget Hotel & Casino, 681 S. Highway 160 (775-751-6500).
BOULDER CITY DAMBOREE "UNITED WE STAND" featuring a pancake breakfast, parade, live entertainment, games and contests and fireworks. The breakfast will be at 7 a.m. today at Bicentennial Park, 1100 Colorado St., followed by the parade at 9 a.m. The parade route begins at Colorado Street and follows Nevada Highway to Fifth Street and ends at Broadbent Memorial Park, located at Avenue B and Fifth Street. Festivities, including Damboree Ceremonies, will be at Broadbent Memorial Park 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Veterans' Memorial Park, located at Buchanan Boulevard and Airport Road, will have festivities 6-11 p.m. with a fireworks show at 9 p.m (www.bcnv.org).

FIREWORKS AT STATION CASINOS fireworks by the Grucci family will go off at approximately 9:30 p.m. today at the following locations: Red Rock Resort, 11011 W. Charleston Blvd.; Green Valley Ranch Resort, 2300 Paseo Verde Parkway, Henderson; Palace Station, 2411 W. Sahara Ave.; Boulder Station, 4111 Boulder Highway; Fiesta Henderson, 777 W. Lake Mead Drive; Aliante Station, 7300 Aliante Parkway, North Las Vegas; Santa Fe Station, 4949 N. Rancho Drive; Sunset Station, 1301 W. Sunset Road, Henderson; and at a shared location for Texas Station, 2101 Texas Star Lane, and Fiesta Rancho, 2400 N. Rancho Drive.
SUMMERLIN COUNCIL PATRIOTIC PARADE presented by the Summerlin Council and featuring floats, balloons, bands and more, 9-11 a.m. today. The parade will begin at the corner of Hillpointe Road and Hills Center Drive in The Trails village and travel south on Hills Center Drive toward the Village Center Circle roundabout then proceed west on Trailwood Drive ending at Trailwood Drive and Spring Gate Lane (341-5500).
FREEDOM FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA doors open at 7 p.m. today for the Old-Fashioned Food Fare and fireworks will be at 9:15 p.m. at M Resort, 12300 Las Vegas Blvd. South, Henderson (797-1000).
FIREWORKS AT PRIMM VALLEY featuring a pool party at Primm Valley Resort & Casino pool with a DJ, face painters and more 6-9 p.m. today at Interstate 15 South at Primm. Fireworks will be at 9:45 p.m. (800-386-7867).
ACTIVITIES AND FIREWORKS AT MESQUITE featuring live entertainment, a DJ, bingo for adults, a water balloon toss for kids, swimming and more, 2:30 p.m. today at Sun City Mesquite. Take I-15 North to exit 120 in Mesquite, turn left onto Falcon Ridge Parkway which leads to the community. Fireworks will be at 9:30 p.m. (866-339-9322).
"DEATH DROP ESCAPE" featuring Steve Wyrick with Chester Bennington and members of Dead by Sunrise. Wyrick will perform a "Death Drop" escape from an equipment box dangled over a bed of 500 flaming spikes 80 feet below at approximately 8:30 p.m. today at the southern Las Vegas Boulevard entrance of Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, 3663 Las Vegas Blvd. South.
