Gibbons fills staff vacancies in administration

CARSON CITY -- Gov. Jim Gibbons has filled two positions in his administration, hiring former Republican Assemblyman Lynn Hettrick and former Ethics Commission Director Stacy Woodbury.

They will begin their new duties "as soon as possible." A release Monday announcing the appointments did not specify the jobs they will fill.

Hettrick represented Douglas County in the Assembly from 1992 to 2006. He served as co-speaker of the Assembly and as minority leader for 10 years.

Woodbury was executive director of the Nevada Commission on Ethics from 2002 to 2006.
