Glitch closes monorail for hour in morning
The Las Vegas Monorail had to suspend service for an hour on Thursday morning because of a wireless communication glitch, a spokeswoman said.
A backup communication system was sending warning messages and staff had to be deployed to each control unit to manually reset the communication system.
The train was back in service around noon.
"We apologize for any inconvenience this delay caused our passengers," a spokeswoman said in a prepared statement.
"The security and safety of our customers is our top priority, and this short delay was necessary to ensure the system continues to deliver passengers to their destinations."
