HALFTIME: UNLV 23, BYU 21

Rene Rougeau’s layup with two seconds left lifted UNLV to a 23-21 halftime lead over Brigham Young tonight at the Thomas & Mack Center.

Joe Darger made a 3-pointer with one minute to go as the Rebels closed the half on a 7-0 run. Darger and Tre’Von Willis each scored six points to lead UNLV (19-7, 7-5 Mountain West Conference).

The crowd of 18,523 at the Thomas & Mack Center marked UNLV’s first sellout since Jan. 23, 1993, in a game against Georgetown.
