Handicapped woman dies in fire at Arizona mobile home

A handicapped woman died Thursday in a fire in her mobile home in Bullhead City, Ariz.

Local police identified her as 64-year-old Rebecca Nove.

Bullhead City Fire Department Battalion Chief Craig Stephenson said Nove tried to exit the burning structure but that her "scooter" got stuck in the doorway. Two neighbors who pulled her from the scooter and away from the fire suffered smoke inhalation.

Nove was pronounced dead at Western Arizona Regional Medical Center.

Stephenson said information from a family member leads investigators to believe Nove started the fire herself while smoking while taking oxygen from a portable tank.
