Henderson kicks off Emergency Preparedness Week

Representatives from the Henderson Fire Department will be at various locations as part of the city’s 1st Annual Emergency Preparedness Week through Saturday.

The hands-on education on the importance of disaster preparedness will be Tuesday, 8 a.m.-noon at Henderson City Hall, 240 Water St.; Wednesday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Galleria at Sunset, 1300 W. Sunset Road; Thursday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the farmer’s market at Henderson Events Plaza, 200 Water St.; Friday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the farmer’s market at Henderson Pavilion, 200 S. Green Valley Parkway; and Saturday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Galleria at Sunset.

The event is part of the city of Henderson’s year-long campaign, Get READY! Stay READY!, to raise awareness of how to plan and prepare for different type of emergencies.
