Henderson police investigate possible kidnapping

Henderson police ask the public for help in unraveling a possible kidnapping Monday.

About 8 p.m., a woman jumped from a silver Chrysler Sebring convertible with Nevada plates that was waiting at a stoplight. She was arguing with the male driver at the time, police said.

The woman yelled for help and jumped into the bed of a nearby pickup. Two men in the pickup decided to help and drove away, police said.

The Sebring followed, speeding and trying to run the pickup off the road, police said. The pickup crashed into a parked car on Cholla Street, near Lake Mead Parkway and Boulder Highway, police said.

The woman was ejected, and the driver of the Sebring then pulled her into the car, police said. The car then took off on a dirt road near Sunset and Pabco roads, police said.

Police ask the public's help in finding the woman and the driver.

The driver is described as a black man with a dark complexion, a thin build, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall, and in his 20s or 30s with short tapered hair. He was wearing a white tank top.

The woman was in her early 20s with styled short hair, about 5 feet, 6 inches tall with a thin build and dark complexion.

Anyone with information can call police at 267-4750.
