Henderson suicide identified

The Henderson man who shot and killed himself after setting his apartment on fire last week has been identified as 58-year-old Jovo Dabic.

Henderson dispatchers received simultaneous calls of a fire at the Remington Canyon apartments, 1000 American Pacific Drive, near Gibson Road, and a man waving a gun on his balcony of the same complex at 2:05 p.m. April 23.

Dabic shot himself in the head soon after officers arrived, Henderson police said.

Fire investigators believe he started several fires, which forced the evacuation of the building.

Dabic's apartment suffered severe fire damage, and other apartments suffered water and smoke damage.
