House fire in Laughlin causes $1.4 million in damage

A house fire in Laughlin caused an estimated $1.4 million in damage early Friday morning, according to the Clark County Fire Department.

The fire was reported around 12:20 a.m. at a 5,500-square-foot, two-story house at 1685 W. Casino Drive.

Fire officials said the four-car garage was fully involved in the fire upon arrival. Firefighters from Bullhead City and Fort Mojave fire departments in Arizona were called in to help battle the blaze.

The residents of the house were in bed at the time of the fire but were able to escape without injury, fire officials said.

The cause of the fire was still under investigation.
